
Concern for community is a cooperative principle Empire Electric Association exemplifies through our donation and sponsorship program. Every year EEA supports our community by contributing to non-profit community and civic organizations, colleges, schools, or education based entities with a combination of unclaimed capital credits and budgeted funds. The deadline to submit a completed application is September 15, 2025.
EEA begins our budgeting process in the fall providing time for budget development and review. Part of the process is accepting requests from qualified EEA members for donations and sponsorships. Requests are considered once a year at the October board meeting for the following calendar year. Limiting requests to once per year provides a fair process where all applicants are reviewed at the same time. This also reduces time spent on the process and reduces our costs.
