Members can accomplish most tasks on line or over the phone. We have a payment kiosk that accepts cash and credit/debit cards inside the first set of doors at our 801 N Broadway office. Cash and check payments are still accepted in the night drop vault.

    On Saturday January 16th from 8:30 am until 12:00 Noon, EEA's Phone Payment system will be unavailable due to system maintenance. You may still make payments at the Kiosk in our lobby at 801 N Broadway in Cortez or log in to your EEA account at eea.coop to make a payment.

Electric Vehicle Charger and Installation Rebate

A new electric vehicle charger and installation rebate is available for both residential and commercial members.  The process to apply is:  

 Pre-Qualification

  • Contact our member services department and supply a completed application.

  • Member services will review the application for completeness. 

  • Member services will notify you of any issues with the application. 

  • Following approval, a post approval checklist will be provided for your convenience.

 Site Visit

  • You will return the checklist, invoice(s), final state electrical inspection (if required) and documentation of other incentives to member services.

  • Member services will schedule a site visit to verify the installation and verify the cost recovery mechanism if the charger is intended for public use.

Electric Vehicle Charger and Charger Installations

Electric Vehicle Charger and Charger Installation Rebate Application

You must show proof of current Electric Vehicle (EV) ownership or purchase an EV within 6 months of rebate payment. If proof of EV ownership is not provided within 6 months of rebate payment, the integrated charger/inverter rebate amount must be paid back in full and will be charged to your EEA electric account.

Empire Electric and Tri-State Generation and Transmission offer rebates on Electric Vehicle Chargers and Charger Installations. If you have an EV or a considering an EV purchase and want the convenience of charging your EV at home or at your business, please check out the significant savings offered with this rebate:

Rebates
 

  • Level 2 EV Charger with no network capability: 50% of the charger cost up to $500 and 50% of the installation cost up to $500.
  • Level 2 EV Charger with network capability: 50% of the charger cost up to $1,000 and 50% of the installation cost up to $1,000.
  • Level 3 DC Fast Charger (capacity 50 kW < 100 kW) with network capability: 50% of the charger cost up to $3,000 and 50% of the installation cost up to $3,000. Must be Large Power Rate.
  • Level 3 DC Fast Charger (capacity =>100 kW) with network capability: 50% of the charger cost up to $4,000 and 50% of the installation cost up to $4,000. Must be Large Power Rate.
     
  • Requirements
 
  • Charger must have a dedicated circuit.
  • Rebate is limited to once per year per member.
  • Only Level 2 and Level 3 Chargers qualify for this rebate.
  • Rebate cannot exceed total project cost including other incentives. 
  • Invoices must separate charger and installation costs.
