Electric Vehicle Charger and Charger Installation Rebate Application

Empire Electric offers rebates on Electric Vehicle Chargers and Charger Installations. If you have an EV or a considering an EV purchase and want the convenience of charging your EV at home or at your business, please check out the significant savings offered with this rebate.

EEA’s Rules and Regulations require you to advise EEA when making any material changes or increases in your connected load. Call EEA Energy Management Advisor (970) 564-4450 to schedule an assessment before you purchase your new equipment. Rebates may be denied if you refuse to install required service upgrades.

Rebates
 

  • Level 2 No Resale or Fee Collection: 50% of total equipment and electric service installation costs up to $250 for EEA All Energy Rate Members (rebate is split up to $125 for EV charger and $125 for electric service installation costs) or up to $1,250 (rebate is split up to $625 for EV charger and $625 for electric service installation costs) for EEA Time of Use Rate Member. Limit - 2 Chargers per membership. Qualifying Installations -Residential or Commercial (Private Fleet)

  • Level 2 (with network & fee for charge capability): 50% of total equipment and installation cost up to $2,000. Must be accessible to the general public.

  • Level 3 Direct Current Fast Charger:

    • 50% of EV charging equipment and installation costs up to $4,500 for 50-75 kW maximum station output.

    • 50% of EV charging equipment and installation costs up to $6,500 for 76 - 149 kW maximum station output.

    • 50% of EV charging equipment and electric service installation costs up to $9,000 for 150 & above kW peak output.

    • Publicly accessible installations only. Must be Large Power Rate.

 
Requirements

  • Rebate is limited to once per year per member.

  • Only Level 2 and Level 3 Chargers qualify for this rebate.

  • Rebate cannot exceed total project cost including other incentives. 

  • Invoices must clearly identify charger and installation costs. 

  • Rebate must be complete and submitted within 90 days of installation.

Terms and Conditions
The Electrify and Save Program is administered in conjunction with Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. (“Tri-State”). The applicant listed on the front of this form, by electing to participate in the Electrify and Save Program, and in consideration of such participation, accepts and agrees to the following terms and conditions: 1. Empire Electric Association, Inc. (EEA) and Tri-State make no representation or warranty whatsoever regarding any product installation or service in connection with the Electrify and Save Program, including without limitation, installation services or workmanship of vendors installing products or providing services in connection with the program, performance of installed equipment or products qualifying for rebates, and energy savings derived from participation in the Electrify and Save Program. 2. Applicant does hereby RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE EEA or Tri-State and officers, agents, and employees (hereinafter referred to as “Releasees”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage or injury, including death, that may be sustained by you, or any of the property belonging to you, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees, or otherwise, in any way arising from participation in the Electrify and Save Program. 3. Applicant understands that it is participating in the Electrify and Save Program at its own risk, and that it is Applicant’s responsibility to independently research the products and services covered by the program, and to further exercise care and diligence in selecting vendors and installation contractors. 4. EEA’s and Tri-State’s review of rebate applications for the Electrify and Save Program may subject EEA or Tri-State to certain requirements of the Colorado Consumer Privacy Act (CRS § 6-1-1301, et. seq.). EEA’s or Tri-State’s collection of data for the Electrify and Save Program is limited to data provided on rebate applications, or otherwise provided for rebate qualification, and is used for the sole purpose of evaluating compliance with the requirements of the Electrify and Save Program. EEA and Tri-State will not share Applicant data with third parties in connection with the administration of the Electrify and Save Program; or otherwise as may be required by law or governmental regulation.
