NOTICE OF A CHANGE IN THE TARIFFS OF EMPIRE ELECTRIC ASSOCIATION, INC.
Empire Electric Association’s Board of Directors voted to change EEA’s Large Power and Transmission Service rate tariffs at its March 11, 2022 board meeting. The Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) Clause was removed from both tariffs. There were no other changes.
The Large Power tariff is for larger commercial and industrial loads. The Transmission Service tariff is for loads that are connected at voltages greater than 44 kV. A PCA has not been applicable for these tariffs in the past. The clause was removed to make the tariffs simpler and to avoid confusion. This change will not affect any billing components. Members served under these tariffs will not see any changes to their monthly billings.
The changes are scheduled to go into effect on April 11, 2022. Written comments about the proposed changes may be submitted electronically through EEA’s website or through hard-copies delivered to EEA’s main office. Hard-copies may be submitted by mail to P.O. Box K, Cortez, CO, 81321, or hand-delivered to EEA’s main office at 801 North Broadway, Cortez, CO, 81321. Additionally, verbal comments may be submitted during the member input segment of EEA board meetings.
