Procedure for Processing Service Requests
This online application for a new commercial construction service is available to provide an efficient means of processing the request. The process works best when all parties cooperate to provide accurate, complete and timely data.
- It is the responsibility of the engineer, architect, contractor, or builder to notify EEA's Engineering Department as soon as possible of the proposed project requiring electric service. We currently have a 2 to 4 week lead time before we will be able to discuss your project. Sufficient lead time of approximately 60 to 90 days is required by engineering after receipt of all documentation to determine charges and to complete construction on major projects. Transformers from 100 KVA to 2500 KVA can take as long as 78 weeks for delivery due to supply chain constraints. We are also experiencing other material shortages that may delay your request.
- The engineer, architect, contractor, or builder needs to include this completed data sheet and either a digital copy of the plot plan uploaded on this site or a copy delivered to the Engineering Department. The site plan should include preferred service and meter locations and a single-line diagram of the proposed electrical layout.
- EEA will acknowledge receipt of the plot plan and load data. After service arrangements have been determined, information of service details including cost estimation will be returned for bid purposes.
