This estimator is for single phase residential or commercial services that require 75 kVA of service capacity or less. If your project is three phase power or needs more than 75 kVA of capacity, please click here.
This estimator will calculate a rough cost estimate to provide power to your single phase project. To use this estimator you will need to know:
-
the type of facilities EEA has near your project (click here to see examples of electric distribution facilities)
-
the service capacity size required to provide your project safe and reliable service
-
the preferred location for your meter
-
the distance from the nearest EEA facilities to your preferred meter location.
After using the estimator if you decide to proceed with your project, you will need to:
-
Complete and submit a New Construction Request and pay the required engineering deposit. Residential services require a $500 deposit and commercial services require a $600 deposit.
-
Once you have paid the deposit and submitted the completed documentation, you will be scheduled to meet with an EEA engineering technician to review your request, confirm existing conditions, design and measurements, and receive a formal cost to complete the project.
-
If you decide to proceed after receiving the formal cost estimate, pay the full project cost less any deposit remaining. Projects are not scheduled for construction until the full project cost is paid.

Overhead construction is electrical distribution power supply from above ground on poles.

Underground construction from an existing transformer pad is electrical distribution power supply from lines buried in the ground. It can be indicated by above ground pad mounted transformers, sectionalizing cabinets, and junction boxes. If you are certain your connection point is an existing pad mounted transformer use this estimator. If you are not certain, please use the Underground Construction with No Transformer Pad. Using this estimator if there is no pad will underestimate the cost.

Underground construction from an underground point other than an existing transformer pad is electrical distribution power supply from lines buried in the ground. It can be indicated by above ground pad mounted transformers, sectionalizing cabinets, and junction boxes. If you are not certain your connection point is an existing pad mounted transformer use this estimator.

Overhead to underground construction is electrical distribution supply that originates on an EEA overhead line and transitions to undergound lines to deliver power to your meter.
